In the night of Saint Lawrence, the historic village of Castle, in Valsolda, it turns on again for “Shooting Stars at the Castle”: Monday, August 10, 2026, the Castle Company offers an evening that combines history, taste and starry sky, suspended between the roofs of the village and the Lake Ceresio.
The evening's program
6:00 PM — Guided tour of the village with Brian Subinaghi: a journey through the ancient alleys of Castello, to discover the history and views of the lake of one of the most evocative places in the Valsolda.
8:00 PM — Light dinner with local seasonal products: a convivial moment under the first stars, with the flavors of the area.
10:30 PM — Shooting stargazing: the most awaited moment, with our gaze turned to the sky for the "Tears of San Lorenzo", in the quiet of the village.
What to see in Castello
The evening is also an opportunity to discover two of the village's jewels:
- The Pagani House Museum, a place of art and culture that exhibits works by local painters such as Paolo Pagani;
- there Church of San Martino, with frescoes by Paolo Pagani, known as the “Sistine Chapel of Lombardy”.
