45th Fogazzarian Walk in Valsolda
Sunday, August 9, 2026
Description
The return Fogazzarian Walk, arrived at the 45th edition: Sunday, August 9, 2026 the non-competitive walk organized by the’ASD Valsoldese passes through some of the most characteristic places of the Valsolda, on the banks of the Lake Ceresio.
A path of 9.68 km suitable for everyone, among ancient mule tracks, villages and views of the lake. Whether you're a runner, a hiker or a family, it's the perfect opportunity to discover the Valsolda step by step, in a morning dedicated to sport, nature, and conviviality.
The route
We start from Loggio Sports Field to get to Saint Mamete, passing through Puria, Dasio, San Rocco, Camporgna, Muzzaglio, Castello, Zocca and Bresè: a ring between the upper hamlets and the lake, along the paths that historically connect the valley's centers.
On the trail of Fogazzaro
The walk owes its name to Antonio Fogazzaro, who set his most famous novel in Valsolda, Small ancient world. Many of the places along the route—from San Mamete to Puria, from Dasio to Castello—are the same landscapes that form the backdrop to the writer's pages: walking the Fogazzariana also means retracing the literary geography of Valsolda.
