A May Day celebration in the Drano meadow, amidst the aromas of cooking, outdoor games, and the view of Lake Ceresio.

There are parties that don't need big decorations to be special: the Feast of the Madonna of Tanchè is one of them. Friday, May 1, 2026, the ETS Castle Company invites residents and visitors to the Drano meadow, to Valsolda, for a day that smells of spring, of home-made cooking and of that simple and genuine conviviality that only village festivals can offer.

It is an event that has united the community for generations: we meet outdoors, we share a dish, we exchange a few words under the sky of Lake Ceresio. Children run through the meadows, the elderly tell stories of when this same holiday was celebrated in the same way, and the younger ones discover traditions that have stood the test of time. Because here, more than anywhere else, being together is what really matters.

• Afternoon — Old-fashioned games for adults and children
