Cep Festival 2026 in Val Rezzo: two days of celebration at the mountain church.

Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August 2026 the Pro Loco Rezzo Valley organize the Cep Festival, the end of summer appointment at the Church of the Madonna del Cep, the small stone church on the pastures above Rezzo Valley, on the slopes of the Mount Garzirola. Two days of aperitifs with a view, mountain dinner and lunch, music, and the tradition of basket-making.

Saturday, August 22 — party evening

• 6:00 PM — Aperimountain, the aperitif at high altitude;
• 7:00 PM — dinner with hamburgers, fries and rivers of beer, cheered by the accordions;
• 9:00 PM — tournament of beer pong;
• 11:00 PM — DJ set with DJ Lorenz.

Sunday, August 23 — the party continues

• 10:30 am — Holy Mass to the little church, following the traditional enchantment of the baskets;
• 12:30 PM — lunch with grilled meat, risotto and polenta.

The Church of the Cep

The Church of the Madonna del Cep, with its characteristic stone bell tower, stands in a valley of meadows and woods overlooking the Rezzo Valley and the mountains on the Swiss border: a place dear to the valley community and an ideal destination for a walk, even more so on holidays.

How to get there on foot

The Cep Church can be reached standing starting from Buggiolo, fraction of Val Rezzo (Dasio locality): a dirt road climbs with an open view over the valley up to the meadows of the little church, for about 1.6 km with 216 meters of altitude difference, three quarters of an hour of easy walking. Comfortable shoes are recommended: the climb is part of the experience, and the view of the Rezzo Valley accompanies you along the entire route.
