Route description:
The walk starts from Beta Square, in the upper part of the village of Claino, taking the ancient mule track that once connected Claino with Porlezza.
After a short climb, the mule track continues along a flat stretch, then continues with a slight descent, crossing lush woods and bridges overlooking rocky gorges eroded by foaming streams.
Finally, the last stretch features a short climb. The highlight of this excursion is the Church of Santa Giulia, a historic jewel dating back to 1630, with panoramic views of the woods of Rescia, on the Lake Ceresio and the majestic Pizzoni Mountain on the opposite bank.
