Running to the Museum: Mountain Running in Cavargna

Description
Saturday, September 12, 2026 come back “Run to the Museum”, the free-paced motor fun event organised by the’Friends of Cavargna Association a Cavargna, in Cavargna Valley. A day of high altitude sports open to all, with all proceeds going to support and maintain the Valley Museum. The 2026 edition will also be held in memory of Don Federico Scanziani.
Three circular routes
Each participant chooses their own route upon registration, all of which are circular and include refreshment points:
- Experts — 13 km, +900 m altitude difference
- Amateurs — 9 km, +500 m altitude difference
- Boys — 3 km, +200 m altitude difference



At the end of the race, the first three men and three women on the 9km and 13km courses will receive awards, with prizes also available for the youngest participants. Children under 10 are admitted only if accompanied.
Meeting and departures
Meeting at Valley Museum, in via alla Chiesa 12/14 in Cavargna: at 8:00 a.m. for on-site registrations, at 9:00 am For those who registered online. Staggered departures starting around 9:30 a.m. It will be possible to visit the Valley Museum throughout the day.
Registration and fee
Participation fee €10, Free for children under 12, to be paid on-site on the day of the event. Includes themed merchandise, a bib, refreshments along the route, and insurance.
The online registrations are open until 10:00 pm on September 10, 2026. You can also register in person at the Museo della Valle during opening hours, or at the “Amici di Cavargna” stand in San Lucio, on August 15 and 16 during the feast of San Rocco.
