On the occasion of the FAI Autumn Days, we invite you to live a unique experience between literature, theatre and historical heritage in the charming village of Saint Mamete, overlooking Lake Ceresio.
This edition is dedicated to the writer Brunella Gasperini, a figure deeply linked to Valsolda, and foresees an itinerary that intertwines stage performances, readings, bibliographical insights and guided tours. Participants will have the opportunity to enter places that are usually not accessible, such as the Villa Gasperini “La Darsena” and the Villa Claudia Park with the private chapel of San Filippo Neri, as well as discovering the alleys and historical treasures of San Mamete accompanied by the tourist guide Brian Subinaghi.
A journey of approximately 2 hours, between words, memory and landscape, to rediscover Valsolda through the eyes and words of one of its most beloved cultural protagonists.
Program of the day
-Sunday, October 12, 2025 – San Mamete, Valsolda
The itinerary is enriched with special moments that intertwine literature, theatre and historical-artistic heritage, to tell the bond between the writer –Brunella Gasperini and the village of San Mamete.
Morning – 10:00 am
-Scenic story: actors give life to a short theatrical performance inspired by some passages from the works of Brunella Gasperini.
-Visit to Villa Gasperini “La Darsena”.
Guided walk with the tourist guide Brian Subinaghi among the alleys and the historical and cultural heritage of the village of San Mamete.
Afternoon – 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM
-Readings and bibliographical insights on the life and works of Brunella Gasperini, edited by Professor Giuseppe Gervasini.
-Visit to Villa Gasperini “La Darsena”.
-Visit to the Villa Claudia Park and to the private chapel dedicated to Saint Philip Neri.
-Guided walk with the tourist guide Brian Subinaghi Discovering the historical and cultural heritage of the village of San Mamete.
Practical information
The meeting place is fixed at Villa Gasperini “La Darsena”, in State Road 69, San Mamete – Valsolda (CO), Lombardy.
The itinerary has a total duration of approximately 2 hours and runs along a route of approximately 1 km within the village, with sections on mixed terrain and slight slopes. It is therefore recommended to wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for an outdoor walk.
The groups are at limited number to ensure the quality of the experience: it is therefore strongly recommended advance booking.
