Friday May 15, 2026 at o'clock 20:45, the Municipal Library – Bonardi Cultural Center of Carlazzo opens the doors to the first stage of the events that will accompany towards the seventh edition of Cortintelvi, the international short film and documentary festival organized by the Friends of the Casasco Intelvi Museum Association and Carla Puricelli's Foto Idea. Free admission.
The evening
The projection brings to the screen three works awarded in the 2025 edition — the sixth — whose final was held at the Cinema Teatro di Centro Intelvi Valley August 24th of last year:
- “"Barefoot"” by Luca Esposito — Best Short Film 2025
- “The Aquarium” by Gianluca Zonta — Photo Idea Award 2025
- “Free market” by Giuseppe Cacace (with Giorgio Cantarini and Pino Calabrese) — best performance 2025
Three very different works—in style, provenance, and narrative approach—that convey the variety and quality of contemporary short filmmaking. Seeing them in theaters, after the awards, is a different way to experience them: without the anxiety of the competition, with the certainty that something in each of them has struck a chord with a jury.
What is Cortintelvi?
The festival took its first steps in 2020, building on the legacy of experiences such as CortoinValle and the Cerano Film Festival. Conceived by Andrea Priori in collaboration with Studio Foto Idea and the Friends of the Casasco Intelvi Museum Association, over six years it has developed a recognizable format: free screenings in prestigious venues—squares, theaters, civic halls—spread across several municipalities between Intelvi Valley and the Lario, with an increasing focus on the school system and community participation. The 2025 edition has gathered 130 works from 16 countries, with thematic sections dedicated to art, documentaries and the work of educational institutions.
The seventh edition will take place between June and August 2026. The complete programme will be presented on June 4th at Villa Bernasconi. Carlazzo's evening is the first step.
