Experience Porlezza di Corsa 2026: a running race on Lake Ceresio (10 km and 18 km)

There's a race in Porlezza that isn't just run—it's lived. Sunday June 14, 2026 come back Experience Porlezza on the Run to his sixth edition: the first and only running event on the Italian shores of the Lake Ceresio, departing at 10:00 From the lakeside promenade of Corso Matteotti. Two routes to choose from — 10 km non-competitive e 18 km competitive — open to all, with places limited to 450 participants.

A story born from below

The idea is to Maurizio Milazzo, then municipal councilor of Porlezza and running enthusiast, who in 2018 convinced the president of the’ASD Porlezzese Gianni Grassi acted as the sponsor. The first edition, on July 7, 2018, attracted approximately 200 participants. A debut beyond all expectations, it transformed what could have been a one-off local event into a regular fixture on the Lombardy running calendar.

In 2019 he arrived as godfather Giorgio Calcaterra —three-time world champion in the 100km ultramarathon and twelve-time winner of the 100km Passatore—and for the first time, the municipalities of Porlezza, Carlazzo, and Bene Lario joined forces, allowing for the creation of two separate routes. Then the pandemic put everything on hold for two years. But the race is back, stronger than ever.

Sport, nature and solidarity

The path of the 18 km crosses Porlezza, Carlazzo and Bene Lario with long stretches inside the Piano Lake Nature Reserve —one of the few intact glacial lakes in Lombardy, just a few minutes from Lake Ceresio. The route from 10 km It is more intimate, also suitable for those with no racing experience, open to families and walkers.

Thanks to sponsors, the organizers are able to cover all the costs of the event: part of the proceeds from registrations are donated to charity. For the sixth edition, the contribution will go to: Blue Cross Porlezza.

The two paths

🏃 10 km — Non-competitive Run & Walk

A fast route through the town of Porlezza and its immediate surroundings, with a moderate elevation gain. Open to everyone—first-time runners, walkers, and families with children.

🏃 18km — Competitive run

Extended ring that leaves the town centre crossing the three sponsoring municipalities, with significant stretches within the Piano Lake Nature Reserve. It requires preparation and trained legs, and rewards with views of the glacial lake and Lake Ceresio that are worth every kilometer.
