Friday September 18, 2026<\/strong> at o'clock 20:45<\/strong> the Loggio Schools, in Valsolda, host an evening dedicated to Andrea Bonvicini<\/strong>, an author from Valsoldo who presents two books: The Great Beginning of History<\/em>, drama in five parts, and The clouds go<\/em>, a collection of published and unpublished stories, anecdotes, and poems.<\/p>\n

The reading will be accompanied by musical interventions by Ivan Porta<\/strong> on the accordion, a teacher from the Civic Music Institute of Dongo, Menaggio, and Porlezza. Refreshments will follow. The event is organized by the Antonio Fogazzaro Municipal Library of Valsolda and continues the series of literary evenings that in recent months has brought authors from the Larian and Cerese areas to Loggio.<\/p>\n

The author<\/h2>\n

Andrea Bonvicini was born in Oria Valsolda in 1942. After technical studies in Lugano and Milan, he worked in Canton Ticino as a draftsman and technical consultant: a biography of the borderlands, between Lake Ceresio and Switzerland, shared by many families in Valsolda. He began writing later, driven by what he himself describes as an internal impulse: to translate a lifetime's emotional baggage into verse and stories, hoping to be perceived intimately by the reader.<\/p>\n

The two books<\/h2>\n

The Great Beginning of History<\/em> It is a drama in five parts, a free interpretation by the author on the theme of origins. The clouds go<\/em> Instead, it collects short stories and poems, some previously published and some previously unpublished, with a view of the Valsoldese shore of Lake Ceresio on the cover. During the evening, the author will read excerpts from both works.<\/p>\n

Ivan Porta<\/h2>\n

Ivan Porta, accordionist and teacher at the Civic Music Institute of Dongo, Menaggio and Porlezza<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Born in Como, Ivan Porta studied accordion with Maestro Mimmo Orlando, combining dance music with classical repertoire, and graduated in piano from the Conservatory of Mantua in 1985. He has taught music education in middle schools in several towns between Lake Como and Lake Ceresio, including Menaggio, Porlezza, and San Bartolomeo Val Cavargna, and collaborates with dance orchestras as an arranger and soloist. He currently teaches accordion at the Civic Music Institute of Dongo, Menaggio, and Porlezza.<\/p>\n
