Friday, February 13, 2026, at 8:45 PM<\/strong>, at the <\/span>Lodge Schools<\/strong>, the presentation of the novel will take place <\/span>The victim can kill<\/em> Of <\/span>Vittorio Nessi<\/strong>, one of the most authoritative magistrate and authors on the contemporary Italian scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A noir that questions the conscience<\/span><\/p>\n

The victim can kill<\/em> It's not just a detective novel.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a story that delves into the ambiguities of justice, the uncertain boundaries between good and evil, individual responsibility and institutional abandonment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The protagonist, the public prosecutor <\/span>Bruno Ferretti<\/strong>, disillusioned by the events of Tangentopoli, asks to be transferred to a remote Sicilian town overlooking the African sea. Here he finds himself immersed in a complex reality, described as <\/span>\u201csmart, violent, lazy and generous\u201d<\/em>, where every certainty wavers and the law seems to lose its abstract face to confront real life.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the heart of the novel emerges an uncomfortable and very current question:<\/span><\/p>\n

What happens when the state abandons its victims and they decide to take justice into their own hands?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The author: Vittorio Nessi<\/span><\/h2>\n

Born in Como in 1947, Vittorio Nessi is a magistrate and writer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He has published numerous novels and essays that intertwine justice, ethics and narrative, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n
