The Alpine Christmas that excites<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In Val Cavargna, Christmas is experienced as it once was: without shop windows, without frenzy, but among stone houses, streets decorated with pine branches, lit fireplaces, and an entire community transported back in time.<\/span><\/p>\n

La <\/span>19th edition of the Living Nativity Scene of Sora<\/strong>, organized by <\/span>Val Cavargna Folklore Group<\/strong>, is one of the most authentic and popular Christmas events in the Ceresio area.<\/span><\/p>\n

With <\/span>over 120 extras<\/strong> e <\/span>100 collaborators<\/strong>, the entire hamlet of Sora is transformed into a large open-air living nativity scene, where forgotten crafts come back to life:<\/span><\/p>\n

-the <\/span>plumber<\/strong>, with the sparks of the tin in the night;<\/span><\/p>\n

-the'\u2019<\/span>knife grinder<\/strong>, who sharpens knives and is eager to tell stories;<\/span><\/p>\n

-the <\/span>sawyers<\/strong>, suspended three meters above the easel;<\/span><\/p>\n

the <\/span>housewives<\/strong>, engaged in the <\/span>buseca<\/em> and in the <\/span>matuscia<\/em>;<\/span><\/p>\n

the craftsmen who make <\/span>clogs, bowls and utensils<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ancient houses are reopened and converted:<\/span><\/p>\n

old stables, fireplaces, kitchens, dairy laboratories, restored wash houses, wool spinning rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

The local animals \u2013 cows, calves, sheep, goats, donkeys and horses \u2013 complete the scene, making it real, alive and exciting. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Cavargna Valley returns to experience its most authentic Christmas with the 19th edition of the Living Nativity Scene in Sora, one of the most evocative Alpine events in the Ceresio area.
