In Porlezza, people run, but not just to get there first. They run to be there!
There is a day, every year, when Lake Ceresio is not just a postcard landscape: it is a collective breath that becomes movement. It is the day when running shoes and smiles meet along the paths, roads and woods of Porlezza, Carlazzo and Bene Lario, to transform fatigue into joy, and kilometers into connections.
That day is Sunday, June 15, 2025, and the occasion is called Experience Porlezza on the Run: an event that is not just a race, but a secular rite of belonging, which unites runners, walkers, volunteers, families and spectators around a simple and powerful idea: sharing the territory through the primordial gesture of walking and running together.
Arrived at its fifth edition, the event grows in the name of continuity and relaunch: it returns with a new impetus thanks to ASC Como, who takes on the official organizational direction, alongside the historic founder Maurizio Milazzo. Together they relaunch a challenge that is much more than a time trial: it is a declaration of love for the territory, an open-air gym, a moving embrace that keeps the community united.
Two courses, a thousand reasons to participate
Two nature-filled itineraries are also proposed for 2025:
-10 km: walking and running suitable for everyone, along panoramic roads and paths
-18 km: competitive race for more experienced runners
The routes cross the municipalities of Porlezza, Carlazzo e Good Lario, passing between lake views and the landscape of the Piano Lake Nature Reserve.
Departure and arrival are confirmed in Matteotti Street, in the heart of the Porlezza lakeside, near the War Memorial: an ideal meeting point for families and spectators too.
A story born from below
Born in 2018 from an intuition of Maurizio Milazzo and with the support of the ASD Porlezzese and of the Municipality of Porlezza, the race has been able to evolve over time, maintaining strong bond with the territory. From the edition with the sample Giorgio Calcaterra to the resilience demonstrated during the pandemic period, Experience Porlezza on the Run it's a demonstration today mature, shared and expected.
How to participate
Registrations are open to all, starting from 12 years old (with signed parental consent). You can register:
✅ Online on www.viviporlezzadicorsa.it (until June 12)
✅ In presence at the Total Bar in Porlezza (Via Osteno 2, until June 13)
✅ The day of the race (June 15, 8:00-9:30 a.m. at Corso Matteotti – cash only, limited seating)
Registration fees:
🔹 10 KM (Walking/Running): €20 + €1 registration fee
🔹 18 KM (Competitive Race): €25 + €1
🔹 Under 15: €10 + €1
🩺 Optional medical certificate – insurance included
📅 Timetables and schedules
The event will take place Sunday, June 15, 2025, with meeting from 8:00 am in Matteotti Street in Porlezza, at the War Memorial. last minute registrations will be open on site until 9:30 (cash only, limited seating). official departure of the race is scheduled for the 10:00 a.m., with awards and social gatherings to follow in the finish area. It's recommended to arrive early for bib pick-up and warm-up.
