Imagine strolling through ancient cobbled alleys, surrounded by the warm autumn colours of the landscapes of Lake Ceresio. This idyllic setting will become reality for those who participate in “Valsolda, Autumn in the Villages”, a fascinating guided itinerary that will take place during the FAI Autumn Days 2024.
Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October, the picturesque villages of Oria e Lower Albogasio will open their doors to visitors, offering a unique experience in the heart of the Valsolda.
Under the expert guidance of the Tour Guide Brian Subinaghi, participants will embark on a journey through time and literature, exploring not only the rich history of these ancient settlements, but also the places that inspired the famous novel “Little Ancient World”" Of Antonio Fogazzaro.
The route, approximately 100 meters long, 1.5 km, will wind through narrow alleys and hidden squares, revealing the beauty of traditional Valsoldese architecture. During the walk of an hour and a half, visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the places adjacent to Villa Fogazzaro, immersing yourself in the atmosphere that inspired the great writer. The churches and original architectural buildings of the Valsoldese villages will tell stories of centuries past, while the breathtaking views of the lake will offer glimpses that seem painted.
