Christmas in Valsolda lights up in the village of Drano, one of the most evocative and authentic places in the area. Sunday December 21st, starting from 10:00 a.m., the town will transform into a small enchanted village, ready to welcome families, children and visitors seeking the most genuine Christmas atmosphere.
A village that becomes a nativity scene
The streets of Drano will come alive with widespread nativity scenes, set up in the courtyards, in the most hidden corners of the village, and among the stone houses. Each alley will be a small, living picture, to be discovered by strolling slowly, letting yourself be carried away by the scent of winter and the attention to detail.
⛪ Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m.
The day will open with the Holy Mass, a moment of reflection that introduces the most authentic meaning of Christmas before the start of the celebration.
🎅 Santa's House and the Creative Workshop
The heart of the event will be the Santa's House, where the little ones can meet Santa Claus and give him their letter.
At the House, there will also be an active creative laboratory: a space dedicated to children, where they can make small Christmas crafts and take home a souvenir of the day.
🎶 Bagpipers, accordions and itinerant music
The atmosphere of the village will be enriched by the notes of the bagpipers and from accordions, which will accompany visitors through the town's alleys and courtyards. Ancient, warm, and traditional music, perfect for bringing Valsolda's Christmas spirit to life.
🌟 Living Nativity Scene and Arrival of Santa Claus
In the afternoon the village will host the Living Nativity, an evocative and engaging representation that transforms the streets into an animated story.
Soon after, Santa Claus will return to the streets of the town to meet the children and bring a special greeting.

Reach the village of Drano (Valsolda) It's simple and panoramic. Here's the recommended route for those arriving from Regina State Road (SS340) which runs alongside Lake Ceresio.
From the Regina state road (SS340) along the Ceresio
-Proceed on the SS340 towards Porlezza–Valsolda. Along the route, at the town Red Stone, you will find the crossroads with the directions for the hamlets of the’Upper Valsolda.
-Turn onto the Sasso Rosso – Dasio road
At the crossroads take the road that goes up towards Dasio, continuing up to the hamlet of Drano
