Maurizio Pratelli presents "La Fattoria del Pop" with Tirlindana
On Saturday, March 22nd, at 8:45 pm, an unmissable event for music and literature lovers will be held at the schools in Loggio (Valsolda). Maurizio Pratelli will present his new novel, The Pop Farm, accompanied by a special performance by the historic band Tirlindana. The evening, organized by the Antonio Fogazzaro Municipal Library of Valsolda with the support of Ceresio5Valli, will offer an engaging mix of words and music, telling a story that blends mystery and music in contemporary Milan.
The novel: a journey through notes and mystery
After years dedicated to musical essays, with successful titles such as the trilogy Wines and Vinyls, Maurizio Pratelli tries his hand at the novel with The Pop Farm. The book follows the story of Molly, a promising artist who topped the music charts with her first album in the early 2000s, but now seems to have disappeared into thin air. At the center of the narrative is also Luca Terzani, a disillusioned journalist, skeptical of pop music but emotionally invested in the allure of the music scene. The novel paints a portrait of contemporary society through the prism of music, amidst nostalgia, success, and sudden demises.
With his brilliant and analytical style, Pratelli takes the reader on a journey through the nuances of pop culture and singer-songwriter music, between the shadows of a polarizing city and the promises of a sea that carries away dreams and illusions.
The event will be enriched by the participation of Tirlindana, a long-standing Larian band, will perform some songs from their repertoire and songs mentioned in the novel. Born with a singer-songwriter rock sound with strong melodic undertones, Tirlindana have collaborated and shared concerts with artists such as Baustelle, Giorgio Canali, Nada, Afterhours, Timoria, and many others. They will perform on stage in Loggio with their acoustic band "Senzaspine":
A unique opportunity to listen live to songs from their latest album Invisible Forests and relive musical atmospheres that intertwine perfectly with Pratelli's narration.
The evening of March 22nd will therefore be a moment of great charm for those who love culture and music. Admission is free. free, and at the end of the meeting there will be a refreshment, to continue discussing and exchanging ideas on books and music in a convivial atmosphere.
An unmissable opportunity to discover a novel that captures our times with wit and depth, and to be transported by the thrill of live music.
