First Day of Summer Celebration: CAMFLY Runners, Cyclists, and Paragliders Relay Race in Carlazzo

Sunday, June 21, 2026, on the occasion of the first day of summer, the CAMFLY ASD — in collaboration with the Third Time Bar and the Blue Cross ODV — organizes the First Day of Summer Celebration at its headquarters in Via Prati 106, in San Pietro Sovera (Carlazzo). A day combining outdoor sports and a village festival: a non-competitive relay race between runners, cyclists, and paragliders, followed by dinner, live music, and a beer festival.

How the competition works

The demonstration is a non-competitive sports relay in pairs which puts two fractions in sequence:

• Uphill fraction — on foot or by mountain bike / e-bike, with a timed start from the CAMFLY headquarters between 8.30 and 10.00 (time chosen by the athlete). The ascent route is free: the goal is to reach the take-off point as quickly as possible at Corrido mountains, in the Segnon area.
• Flight fraction — upon arrival the time is recorded and the baton is passed to the paragliding pilot, who has 20 minutes To prepare and take off along a free flight path. The goal: to stay aloft for as long as possible. The time spent in the air is counted. until 1.00 pm.

Landing takes place in the designated area at the CAMFLY headquarters (the low-cut lawn); landing outside the field will result in disqualification.

Regulation in brief

• The climb is permitted with any regulation bicycle; for e-bikes the motor assistance is limited to 25 km/h.
• Ascent time discounts: -30 minutes for those who ride a muscle bike rather than an e-bike, -1 hour for runners.
• Pairs can be formed by the athletes' choice or by drawing lots. Where there are no cyclists or runners, the rider may compete in both disciplines.
• Classification: time spent in flight minus time spent climbing back up. In the event of a tie, the maximum altitude reached, as recorded by the flight instrument, prevails.
• Validity: departure 8.30–10.00, take-off within 20 minutes of arrival and in any case no later than 11.30, landing in the CAMFLY area.

Program of the day

• 8.00 am — Registration opens and the pairs competition begins
• 8.30–10.00 am — Athletes' departure: ascent to the take-off point on foot or by mountain bike, then paragliding flight
• 1.00–1.30 pm — Refreshments provided by the Croce Azzurra for all participants
• 3:00 PM — Awards and recognitions. The following are available to the public: Tandem paragliding flights with CAMFLY
• 6:30 PM — Musical evening with a cover band
• 7:00 PM — Dinner hosted by the Croce Azzurra
• To follow — Beer Festival at the Terzo Tempo Bar

Registration and costs

The entry fee for the race is 20 euros and includes lunch prepared by the Croce Azzurra. Prizes will be awarded to the first place finishers and recognition for third place. Participation in the race is mandatory. confirmed in advance.
