Friendship, music, solidarity
Diego was a musician of Laino, one of those people who could unite everyone around a stage. Diego Day was born there: from the friends who continued to play for him and who every year turn the memory into a celebration. They themselves explain the spirit: getting together "to remember the great Diego and have fun as he loved to do.".
Over the years the initiative has grown to become a community event: one of the editions attracted over two thousand people and more than seven hours of music, with bands, marching bands and soloists who took turns on stage - and with Davide Van De Sfroos, came to play with friends for Diego.
Added to the music is the third thing that holds the evening together: all proceeds go to the cystic fibrosis research of the’Gaslini Hospital in Genoa, where Diego was followed, with the support of the Italian Cystic Fibrosis League Liguria. Every beer and every dish served that evening becomes a concrete contribution.
Who's playing this year
They take turns on stage Salvo and the Unexpected he Nice Price, with a tribute to Nanni Svampa, the Milanese singer-songwriter who, with the Gufi and later as a solo artist, brought Lombard folk songs to the stage. A repertoire that speaks the language of his hometown.
The kitchen and bar remain open throughout the evening: drinks, food and beer.
