Chestnut Festival in Naggio: A Festive Sunday at the Ex Crotto

Sunday October 25, 2026 the association Friends of Naggio fills the day with a chestnut festival that is much more than a chestnut festival: from morning to evening, to’Former Crotto of Naggio and through the streets of the town, there are treasure hunts, readings for children, lunch, drawing workshops, roasted chestnuts and a story from the Andes. The crotto is covered and heated, so the day can be spent in any weather.

The program of the day

• From 10:30 am — Clue Hunt: free kit collection at the school and hunt around the village, for families and children
• 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. — Children's book readings with Chiara (Gaby Advisor)
• 12:30 PM — Lunch at the Ex Crotto, based on grilled meat, tripe, polenta uncia and lentils
• 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM — Drawing Workshop free with the illustrator ARTAMA.RA, at the Scuoletta
• From 2:00 PM — Chestnut Festival
• 4:45 PM — Moonless NightsSensory Stories from the Andes with Laura Malvaso

Naggio

Naggio is one of the upper hamlets of Grandola and United, A cluster of stone houses overlooking the valley, the same village that hosts the Incanto Festival in the summer. The Ex Crotto is located in the heart of the village, a short walk from the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate.
