Sunday October 18, 2026, from 2.30 pm, the Pro Loco of Claino with Osteno organize the Chestnut Festival to the Claino parish field. An autumn afternoon in the village, with the fire lit for roasting chestnuts and the villagers gathering outdoors before the cold arrives.
Roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, and hot chocolate
The Pro Loco stand offers roasted chestnuts, mulled wine e hot chocolate: the classic combination of chestnut feasts in the valley, the one that keeps the afternoon going even when the sun sets behind the mountains. A village event, open to all and designed for socializing.
Before or after the snack it is worth taking a walk through the alleys: Claino is the Painted Village, an open-air museum where the facades of ancient houses host works by contemporary artists inspired by the history and life of the village. It is open to visitors at any time.
