Questa emozionante avventura guidata ti porterà a percorrere la spettacolare linea di cresta che segna il confine tra Italia e Svizzera, una zona ricca di storia legata all'epoca del contrabbando. Attraverso un percorso di 23 chilometri che si sviluppa su 2 giorni, avrai l'opportunità di esplorare paesaggi mozzafiato e antichi sentieri di contrabbando. Guidato da Andrea Fornaroli, un esperto Accompagnatore di media Montagna accreditato dal Collegio delle Guide della Regione Lombardia, questo trekking ti condurrà attraverso vette e vallate, offrendoti un'esperienza indimenticabile nel cuore della natura incontaminata.
This exciting guided adventure will take you along the spectacular ridge line that marks the border between Italy and Switzerland, an area rich in history linked to the era of smuggling. Through a 23-kilometer route that spans 2 days, you will have the opportunity to explore breathtaking landscapes and ancient smuggling trails. Led by Andrea Fornaroli, an expert Medium Mountain Guide accredited by the Lombardy Region Guide College, this trek will lead you through peaks and valleys, offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of untouched nature.

Il "Trekking del Contrabbando" inizia presso il comune di Cavargna, raggiungibile dopo un breve viaggio in autobus da Porlezza. Il gruppo si incontrerà alle ore 9:30 presso il parcheggio pubblico del Residence Porto Letizia, da cui si raggiungerà la fermata dell'autobus in piazza Matteotti, vicino all'ufficio turistico. Dopo circa 45 minuti di viaggio in autobus, arriverai a Cavargna, situata a 1000 metri di quota, dove inizierà la tua avventura.
The "Smuggling Trek" starts in the municipality of Cavargna, reachable after a short bus journey from Porlezza. The group will meet at 9:30 am at the public parking of Residence Porto Letizia, from where they will reach the bus stop in Piazza Matteotti, near the tourist office. After approximately 45 minutes by bus, you will arrive in Cavargna, situated at an altitude of 1000 meters, where your adventure will begin.
Il primo giorno, ti aspetta una camminata di circa 4 ore che ti porterà alla vetta del Monte Garzirola, a un'altitudine di 2115 metri. Qui raggiungerai il suggestivo Rifugio Alpino Garzirola, dove trascorrerai la notte godendo di una deliziosa cena e pernottando in mezza pensione. Il rifugio offre un'accogliente sistemazione e una cena che ti permetterà di rilassarti e recuperare le energie.
On the first day, you can look forward to a hike of about 4 hours that will take you to the summit of Mount Garzirola, at an altitude of 2115 meters. Here, you will reach the charming Alpine Hut Garzirola, where you will spend the night enjoying a delightful dinner and staying on a half-board basis. The hut provides comfortable accommodation and a dinner that will allow you to relax and recharge your energy.
La mattina seguente, dopo una gustosa colazione al rifugio, inizierà la seconda parte del trekking. Scenderai di quota fino a raggiungere il Passo San Lucio a 1540 metri, da cui proseguirai verso ovest lungo sentieri panoramici che ti condurranno alla Cima Fiorina (1810 m), Passo Pairolo (1400 m), Denti della Vecchia (1400 m), Pian di Scagn (1174 m) e Alpe Bolgia (1121 m). Il percorso ti regalerà panorami mozzafiato sulla natura circostante e ti immergerà nella storia di questa zona, ricca di aneddoti sul contrabbando.
The next morning, after a tasty breakfast at the hut, the second part of the trek will begin. You will descend in altitude until you reach Passo San Lucio at 1540 meters, from where you will continue westwards along scenic trails that will lead you to Cima Fiorina (1810 m), Passo Pairolo (1400 m), Denti della Vecchia (1400 m), Pian di Scagn (1174 m), and Alpe Bolgia (1121 m). The route will treat you to breathtaking views of the surrounding nature and immerse you in the history of this area, rich in anecdotes about smuggling.
La tua emozionante avventura terminerà nella suggestiva frazione di Dasio, a 615 metri di quota, situata nella pittoresca Valsolda. Da qui, un pulmino ti riaccompagnerà a Porlezza, chiudendo questo indimenticabile viaggio nel cuore delle montagne.
Your thrilling adventure will end in the charming hamlet of Dasio, at an altitude of 615 meters, located in the picturesque Valsolda. From here, a minibus will take you back to Porlezza, concluding this unforgettable journey in the heart of the mountains.

La quota di partecipazione per il "Trekking del Contrabbando" è di 110€ a persona, ma è subordinata al raggiungimento di un gruppo di almeno 10 partecipanti. Nel caso in cui il numero minimo di partecipanti sia 5, la quota potrebbe aumentare a 120€ a persona.
The participation fee for the "Smuggling Trek" is 110€ per person, but it is subject to reaching a group of at least 10 participants. In case the minimum number of participants is 5, the fee may increase to 120€ per person.
Per partecipare a questa avventura, è necessario essere adeguatamente equipaggiati. Si consiglia di indossare scarponcini impermeabili con suola in Vibram o equivalente, abbigliamento comodo e traspirante, e di portare con sé un zaino da circa 40 litri. Non dimenticare di portare anche un pile o un indumento pesante, una giacca per la pioggia, un cambio per la notte, un sacco a pelo leggero o un sacco lenzuolo OBBLIGATORIO, articoli per l'igiene personale e eventuali farmaci personali. Un pranzo al sacco per il primo giorno e una borraccia da 1L (piena!), barrette energetiche, cappello e occhiali da sole e crema solare saranno altresì indispensabili. Se utilizzi abitualmente bastoncini da trekking, saranno utili anche per questa escursione.
To participate in this adventure, it is necessary to be adequately equipped. We recommend wearing waterproof hiking boots with Vibram or equivalent soles, comfortable and breathable clothing, and carrying a backpack of about 40 liters. Don't forget to also bring a fleece or heavy garment, a rain jacket, a change of clothes for the night, a light sleeping bag or a mandatory sleeping sheet, personal hygiene items, and any necessary medications. A packed lunch for the first day and a 1L water bottle (filled!), energy bars, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen will also be essential. If you usually use trekking poles, they will be useful for this excursion as well.
